Cockington Court is excited to welcome visitors back again into its Manor House, galleries, makers studios and café following this week’s reopening. With the safety of visitors and staff at the forefront of the reopening plans, the Court has measures in place so that everyone can enjoy the whole site safely.

The award winning Cockington country park is open from 9am – 7pm and offers a rural paradise for walkers, gardeners, nature lovers and families. Discover wild woodlands, formal landscaped areas, a rose garden, arboretum, ornamental ponds and a children’s play area. This vast outdoor space offers the perfect place to enjoy the warmer spring weather, take a walk, be inspired by nature, relax and enjoy some fresh air after such a long time in lockdown!

The Seven Dials Café located onsite is now open for takeaway refreshments; offering tasty paninis, sandwiches, delicious cakes and much more. Grab a picnic at the café and enjoy meeting up with loved ones over a delicious takeaway lunch in the stunning parkland.

Whilst visiting, don’t forget to stop by the Stable Yard and Sea Change Studios where most of the studio makers will be open. Discover over 20 skilled and contemporary artists and craft makers hard at work, demonstrating their skills. Discover a wide selection of unique gifts to buy, so why not treat yourself? There has never been a more important time to support independent local businesses. The galleries are filled with unique gifts made by local, talented artists and makers.

Marissa Wakefield, Cockington Court Craft Centre Director, said: “Planning for weddings and events didn’t stop during lockdown and we are very much looking forward to running some of our popular events again this Summer, including outdoor theatres and a Sculpture Trail. Plans are being finalised and more information is now on our website.

“I am so proud of the team and all the businesses on site who have yet again worked together to put all the necessary safety measures in place to make reopening possible. It will be great to see visitors returning to the Court and enjoying the outdoor space, the studios and galleries again.”

Illyria Events will be performing three outdoor theatre productions at Cockington Court this year. Tickets are now live – visit www.cockingtoncourt.org/whats-on to find out more and book your tickets.
