Cockington Court has Christmas wrapped up

Visitors can soak up the Christmas spirit at the wintry Christmas Fayre at Cockington Court on Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 December, 10am-4pm, and find everything they need for Christmas, all in one place.

In the Visitor Welcome Point, gifts from the toy maker, delightful treats from the chocolatier, jewellery, textiles, leather products, wrapping paper, handmade cards and much more can be found. The variety of gifts at Cockington has to be seen to be believed, all of which come from the local innovative crafts makers.

Wit a range of activities, including craft workshops, a mind-blowing magician, a skilled fire and glow juggler, a puppet show, food stalls, choirs, mince pies and hot mulled wine.

For a wonderful Christmas activity, take a horse and carriage ride with Mrs Claus and her elf. The carriage has been decked out with Christmas decorations ready to transport visitors around the country park

Marissa Wakefield, Centre Director of Cockington Court, said: “The spirit at Cockington around Christmas is always fantastic. We are delighted to have added the Christmas carriage rides with Mrs Claus and her elf to our festive offering. We would encourage people to book their rides early, not to miss out.

“It is another great opportunity to exhibit and celebrate the great work of the crafts makers here at Cockington. I would urge anybody to come and admire their work and select unique gifts for Christmas. I’m so pleased that we are able to open later on Wednesdays to give more people this opportunity to see our gifts and Desire exhibition.”

Cockington Court’s Kitchen Gallery and Visitor Welcome Point will be open late on Wednesdays for shoppers to find that unique, handmade, crafted gift for Christmas.

Open until 7pm on Wednesday 7, 14 and 21 December and with free parking from 4pm-7pm, the Court will exhibit its finest crafts from their makers in its Desire exhibition.

The exclusive Desire exhibition will run from 19 November until 22 January, selling desirable objects for you and the family, open from 10:30 – 4:30pm daily.

Visitors will find bespoke furniture, mosaic mirrors and plaques, magical paintings and prints, glassware made through creative glassblowing techniques and hand-forged products made by the resident blacksmith. Festive and New Year table decorations such as platters, candle sticks and bowls are available to dress your home for the season.

On the weekends leading up to Christmas, the 10, 11, 17, 18 and 24 December, parking has been reduced in the Cockington Court Car Park. Visitors will be able to park for three hours for just £1.
