Getting to Cockington Court

By car

From Torquay or Paignton turn at the Livermead Hotel – signposted ‘Cockington Country Park’ and follow the lane into the village, where there are two car parks (Cycle Hub & Village).

Parking is also available at Cockington Court itself, behind the Sea Change studios. Simply turn right once in the village, then turn left to the Drum Inn. Keep left and follow the lane behind the pub which will take you to the car park at the rear of the court.

There is also a car park towards the top of the site (Higher Lodge car park) which is managed by Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust.

Craft centre and cycle hub - 7am-7pm
Cockington Village car park - 24 hours

Please note that car parks will be locked at closing time and a charge may be incurred for releasing vehicles.

Parking charges apply, excluding blue badge holders.
Proceeds are used to sustain Cockington Court. Tickets are transferable between the craft centre, cycle hub and village car parks.

Please be aware that the Higher Lodge car park is operated by Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust and separate conditions of use and parking charges apply. Please take care to read the conditions of parking within your chosen car park. 

By bus

Cockington Court is served by Torbay Buses service 62. The service operates Monday to Friday, with the last bus leaving from the Court at 4.16pm.

The bus stop is situated between the manor house and Sea Change craft units.

On foot

Cockington Court is just a one mile walk from Torquay sea front. There is a walking route signposted from the seafront starting at Cockington Lane, just before the Livermead Hotel.

The route takes you through the water meadows on a boardwalk. Wheelchair and pushchair friendly.

  • Bike parks are available in the Sea Change studios - please bring your own lock
  • Coaches must stop outside the village in marked bays on Herbert Road

Cockington Court is wheelchair accessible. Parking charges suspended for blue badge holders in the car park directly behind the Craft Centre. 

Level access is available to the ground floor of the manor house and the craft units in both the Stableyard and Sea Change studios. For access to the first floor of the manor house, please take the path to the left facing the tea rooms, through the rose garden and along the boardwalk. 

Assistance dogs are most welcome. 

Dog friendly

Cockington Court is very much a dog friendly site and we have won a Herald Express tourism silver award for Dog Friendly Business of the Year in 2016. We request that visiting dogs are kept on leads and under control in the rose garden, organic garden, stable yard and Sea Change studio areas.
